Creating New Identities for Outlook Express v.5.0 & 6.0:
Separate identities are essential for setting up more than one email account (for more than one user) in Outlook Express. If multiple identities are not created, all of the new emails for every account that is set up will appear in the Inbox in Local Folders. Multiple identities keep email for different accounts separate and can add a layer of security to the contents of mail folders if passwords are used.
1. In Outlook Express, click on 'File'
2. Click on 'Identities'
3. Click 'Add New Identity...'

The 'Manage Identities' and 'New Identity' windows will open
4. Enter the name mof the new identity (generally this is the name of the person using the account)
5. If a password for this new identity is desired, check "Require Password". NOTE: This does not need to be the same password as the password for the customer's email account, i.e. the password for the account on WOW!'s mail servers.
If "Require Password" is checked, a window will open for that new password to be entered and verified.
6. Click 'OK'
7. Next, an 'Identity Added' window will open. Click 'Yes' to switch to the new identity.
8. Any additional options for identities can be set now.
9. Click 'OK'
To set up an email account for the newly created identity, simply proceed as normal for setting up an email account.
