To Setup Email with Outlook Express v.5.0 & 6.0:
1. Open Outlook Express (This can be found by clicking Start > Programs > Outlook Express)
2. Click on Tools > Accounts
3. Click Add > Mail (Tip: If any unused accounts exist here it is best to remove them)
4. Enter display name for the account. This is the name recipients will see.
5. Choose "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use."
- Type in the email address @sigecom.net (i.e. username@sigecom.net).
- Click 'Next'
6. The incoming mail server should be configured for POP3
- The incoming mail (POP3)
server is "pop.sigecom.net" (case sensitive)
- The outgoing mail (SMTP) server is "smtp.sigecom.net"
- Click 'Next'
7. Enter account information
- Enter Account name (including @sigecom.net)
- Enter the password configured for your WOW! account
- Leave "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked"
- Click 'Next'
8. The next few dialog windows will ask you how your computer connects to the internet. Once this is finished, Outlook is ready to send and receive mail! |
